Perhaps my thinking is a bit fuzzy, but dig this, Im sent out to recall the toxic pet food, over 100 brands are involved being manufactured at the same plant, (the one between Kansas City and Whitchata) and the other one (the first of the two Menu Foods Plants, in Canada).  A list was put out specifying what foods would be contaminated and have to be pulled from the shelves, this was specific to date manufactured.  Two days later, we were told to pull everything on the list not to pay attention to the dated can detail.
A number of cans were promised to be safe to keep on the shelf, not to pull these, however, considering that it was only friday that they "discovered" the element killing our pets was a part of the wheat gluten added to the pet food,   I would think that ALL the food made at that plant would be contaminated, since wheat gluten is present in almost every single  can or pouch of food.
Some pet food manufacturers use CORN gluten, and I am assuming these are perfectly safe.  However, since the pet food made at Menu Foods, just about ALL have an amount of wheat gluten in them, Id wager that anything left on the shelves that came from there is toxic as hell, and if its not.... that would lead me to believe someone knew the wheat gluten was contaminated, but is only figuring the the product with the most gravy to be the most dangerous.  Of course there would be the investors and stockholders that would have EVERYTHING TO LOSE....
I doubt very seriously that to be the case, however, if its not the case
